"It starts with you, but its not about you."

Come hear from Pamela S Gockley, Executive Director of The Camel Project as she talks about her non-profit's mission and shares the knowledge that they look to give to assist individuals and organizations in changing the culture of bullying and unacceptable behaviors that result in violence, trauma, and abuse. 

We have a lot of knowledge about bullying. We know 3 out of 4 students, and almost 80 million US workers are targets or witness it. The are hundreds of studies that show when and where bullying occurs. Suicide and homicide are the leading causes of death in our people under 24. Violence is growing and happening in usually "safe" places, like schools, work, grocery stores, and houses of worship. Yet, with all this knowledge, we do little to deepen our understanding of the roots of bullying.

To deepen the awareness about this big subject with begin with our philosophy "It starts with you, but its not about you."
It starts with you, is a life long journey, not a destination. We will begin our journey together at ABWA.
