Just the Facts: Basics of Information & Media Literacy by Rhonda Kleiman

The world of information is literally at our fingertips on our mobile devices.  We are bombarded with news and information 24-hours a day. Our country is facing many issues now, so it is critical that you be a smart consumer of information that is current, accurate and trustworthy. Learn how to evaluate web sites, where to find reliable sources of general and business information, how to identify fake news and why social media shouldn’t be your primary news source.

Being intentional sometimes means acting on decisions you make.  With current, accurate and trustworthy information you will be able to make better informed decisions.

-Sharpen your literacy skills

-Protect yourself from fake news

-How to evaluate contents of a website

-Learn about “hidden web” resources

The Mission of the American Business Women's Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.
